This handcarved abstract olive wood sculpture holds a world where everything is still possible. The body bends sharply, almost convulsively — either preparing to leap, frozen mid-fall, or simply searching for a shape that fits. The head — if it is a head — tilts and stretches sideways, as if listening to several voices at once, unable to decide which to trust.

Balance on the Edge of Doubt

Unlike a creature that has already found its balance, this one teeters on the edge. A thin metal rod holds it above the ground, barely touching its support — the whole structure held not by stability, but by the thrill of doubt.

A Form That Never Resolves

Each curve suggests the next, but none ever completes itself: a snake becomes a bird, a bird becomes a gesture, a gesture becomes something inhuman once again.

Cracks as Lines of Possible Fracture

The pale, smoothly polished wood is cut in places by dark cracks — not scars of a life lived, but fracture lines along which the form could split into two different creatures. There is no answer here yet. Only pure, unresolved possibility — the chance to become anything — and it’s in this open, suspended state that all the work’s energy lives.
