Ghost Sailor from the Age of Wind

A sculpture born of the sea. Its authentic texture and traces of time are preserved untouched — a one-of-a-kind object with no copies, past or future.

Description

A one-of-a-kind object, born of the sea and given a second life by the artist’s hand. The natural form of the driftwood — a rare find in itself — has been shaped into a sculpture balancing on the edge between a ship and the memory of one.

A slender metal rod holds the composition in a state of near-weightless equilibrium — an effect difficult to replicate and impossible to mistake for a mass-produced piece. The rough texture, natural cracks, and irregularities have been preserved untouched: this is the authenticity of the material itself, not an imitation of age.

The piece is one of a kind, as only an object shaped by the sea rather than a machine can be. A striking addition for an interior that values sculpture as a piece with history, not merely decor.
