Rising Current

Vertical driftwood on a steel axis — the eternal cycles of nature in absolute stillness. ‘Archipelago of Oblivion’ series.

Description

The ‘Archipelago of Oblivion’ series.

A vertical fragment of driftwood, like a calligraphic stroke, hovers above a rough natural base. Smooth curves born of water and time reveal the layered texture and a restrained natural palette — from warm honey to ashen grey.

The wabi-sabi philosophy unfolds in an honest dialogue: light and heavy, graceful and rough are joined by a thin steel axis. The strict metal rod does not disguise itself — it creates an effect of levitation, emphasising the contrast between rigid geometry and living organic matter. A perfect accent for minimalist spaces in japandi or eco-design style.
