Dancing Wind

A curved driftwood branch entwines the vertical of a steel rod. A frozen gust of wind in a dialogue between nature and geometry. ‘Archipelago of Oblivion’ series.

Description

The sculpture is built on a bold asymmetric equilibrium and a subtle dialogue of materials. A graceful, arched branch of driftwood — like a tongue of flame frozen in motion or a gust of wind — entwines the strict vertical of a steel rod. As a counterweight to the lightness of the upper part stands a massive, expressive horizontal base with deep natural relief and knots.

Every crack here is not a flaw but a map of the tree’s life. Nature and human design meet on a T-shaped metal axis. The strict geometry of steel, piercing the sculpture through, boldly contrasts with the living, warm organic matter of the wood. This emphasises the effect of levitation: the wood seems to float in space, held only by an invisible inner force.

The composition radiates inner energy, calm and the absolute harmony of natural lines. A perfect accent for japandi, loft and eco-minimalist interiors — a reminder of the eternal movement of wind and water.
